The monthly set subject competition is intended to test and stretch the technical and creative abilities of our member photographers.

| April | Postcards from the Road – Travel photography that captures culture, people, or spirit of place. |
| May | Celestial Stories – Astrophotography or nightscapes, showing stars, Milky Way, or celestial movement. |
| June | One Tone Tells the Story – A powerful monochrome image focusing on contrast, mood, or minimalism. |
| July | The story of an object – still life image where the composition hints at narrative or emotion. |
| August | The Shape of Water – A creative take on the sea, using slow shutter speed, reflections, or abstract forms. |
| September | Harmony of Steel, Stone & Glass – Architectural photography focusing on design and structure. |
| October | Urban Echoes – Street scenes or buildings that reflect a city’s personality or tension between old and new. |
| November | Layered Horizons – Capture the essence of the Overberg’s landscapes through layered composition and light. |
| December | The Face Behind the Lens – Creative selfie or conceptual self-portrait. |
