Bodyboarding World Tour provides for sport in action shots

The IBC Bodyboarding World Tour is happening at the Onrus Beach for ten days. It kicked of with a with a formal reception on 18 August and the competition commencing Sunday 21 August. Members from the Hermanus Photographic Society has been photographing the event.

On opening Sunday a full day of spills and thrills in barrelling waves took place and with the main interest in local Onrus athlete, and 2019 World Champion, twenty-seven year old Tristan Lee Roberts showing off his undoubted skills on home turf. 

With over 100 participants and the crowd reaching 1,000 plus on Sunday. The heats take place if weather conditions permit and dependent on tides four more days of planned events until 28 August when the tour will depart these shores, come along and enjoy the show.
