Skills and development kicks of with ICM session

The Hermanus Photographic Society (HPS) has revived its skills and development (S&D) sessions for photographers. Most of these will take place on the third Wednesday of the month. Crighton Klassen is running with this project and has already lined up a number of sessions that will help photographers to expand their skills base.

The first S&D will be on Wednesday evening 20 July 2022 at 19h00. It will be a Zoom session with Steff Hughes on Intentional Camera Movement (ICM). This style has become very popular, but there are a few tricks to make it work. Says Steff: “You are moving the camera intentionally during an exposure to create an image that conveys mood and feeling. It is an image about the subject and not of a subject.” Steff has an art background and runs photography workshops, tours, and offers one-on-one coaching. The cost is R50 for members and R75 for non-members. To book please email hermanusphoto@gmail.com. Photographers from other clubs are most welcome to join.
